EasyLift is an assistive system designed to make everyday bathroom use more accessible and independent. The solution combines a mobile app with a retrofittable device that automatically lifts toilet seats using ultrasonic sensors or a scheduled timer.
Built for individuals with limited mobility, reduced hand articulation, or difficulty bending, EasyLift removes the need for physical strain in a common daily task. The system was prototyped using Arduino to enable sensor-based automation and validate real-world functionality.
In addition to accessibility, EasyLift also introduces a secondary use case in home safety, offering a simple way to help baby-proof bathrooms by minimizing direct contact with toilet surfaces.
